At Racedays, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. In general we try to collect as little information as possible, and this privacy policy ("policy") is designed to help you understand what information we collect and how we use it.
By using the services, you agree to the terms of this policy, and you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this policy.
Information we collect
Personal information can be used to identify you directly or indirectly. We collect the following personal information. Items marked with (*) are optional, but required if you want to register for a race/use other certain features:
- Email address
- Time of registration
- Last sign-in timestamp (for account management, security, and support purposes)
- Running club (optional)
- Strava athlete ID/activities (optional)
- Name
- Gender (*)
- Date of birth (*)
- Phone number (*)
- Nationality (*)
- Address (optional, required for some features)
We collect the following anonymized information used for statistics:
- Browser type
- Operating system/device information
- Your location when you are visiting our pages (city/country)
- Pages visited (which page, visit duration, and when)
- Various application events (bookmarks created, orders performed, clubs joined++)
Email collection and use
We collect your email address as part of your account registration process for the purposes of:
- Account management (login, password resets, account notifications).
- Service updates and essential communications.
When you purchase tickets or register for events through Racedays, we may share your email address with the event organizer to allow them to send you important event information, updates, or related offers. This is necessary for providing the event service you have requested.
If you choose to subscribe, we will also use your email to send our newsletter with updates, tips, and exclusive offers (approximately once a month). Subscription is entirely voluntary, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each newsletter, or from your account page.
How we use your information
We may use your information for the following purposes:
- To personalize and improve your experience with the services
- Password recovery and other customer support
- Sending you important updates about our services
- To process payments
- To detect, prevent, and address technical and security issues
Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, except for in the following situations:
- When you register for a race, the race organizer will be able to access your contact information

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, in our sole discretion. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Cookies
Cookies and local storage are small text-files that are stored on your device, and used to improve the service. Some cookies are required for the website to function correctly (like keeping you logged in), some are used for personalization (like if you want events displayed in a list or grid), and others are used for analytics purposes.
If you don't want to allow cookies, you can adjust your web-browser to not accept them. This might make certain features of Racedays stop working.
Third-party service providers
Microsoft Azure
We use Microsoft Azure as a cloud service provider for hosting, data storage, and infrastructure management. This means that some of your personal data may be processed and stored on Azure's servers.
- Location: Azure data centers are located in Norway.
- Security: Azure provides industry-standard security and data protection measures.
- Data sharing: Azure acts as a data processor and does not access your personal data except as necessary to provide cloud infrastructure services.

Mailgun
We use Mailgun, a third-party service provider, to send emails. Your email address will be processed by Mailgun only for these purposes. Mailgun's privacy policy.
